SAAAD

SAAAD , or "Small Area Abnormal Activity Detector" is a surveillance tool designed for the protecting ports and other marine infrastructures.

SAAAD analyzes Maritime Situation Awareness pictures, created by fusing data from sensors such as RADAR, electro optics, AIS etc. SAAAD learns the activity patterns in the area over time, including the activity patterns of specific vessels. The tool indicates abnormal activities which require the attention of area managers.
